winemaker's tasting notes

The 2008 vintage is a beautiful deep garnet color with vibrant aromas of ripe fruit, lavender, candied violets and a hint of vanilla. This wine has a full mid palate coating the mouth with layers of blackberry cobbler, black fig, and dark, bittersweet chocolate. Elegant and lingering, the finish is layered and well-balanced with good structure and soft tannins that are unobtrusive. This wine has great legs and has a promising future of long maturing and cellaring.
