Vineyards
Our Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are grown on a soft slope in the western hills of northern St. Helena. The rocky soil is conducive to growing intense cabernet sauvignon. We have 2 acres on a gentle slope with another 1/2 acre on a steeper incline. The vines were replanted in 1997 and we harvested a small amount in 2000. The first harvest at our winery will be 2005 and this vintage will be our first 'Estate' vintage since the grapes will be grown, crushed, and stored on the estate property. Beginning with the 2005 vintage we will add an 'Estate' Cabernet Sauvignon to our portfolio which includes 'Cuvee Claire' we have been producing since 1997 from other grapes we procure.
